The Parish Council have engaged a conservation specialist to clean and restore the War Memorial. The cleaning process will involve the application of a masonry biocide this week to speed up the removal of biological growths, prior to the physical reduction during week commencing 28th October. During this process, part of the War Memorial will be wrapped in plastic to prevent the rain washing off the biocide. Once this process is complete, the War Memorial will be steam-cleaned and the lettering will be repainted where it is fading.
The War Memorial will be looking its best in time for the Remembrance Service on Sunday 10th November. We look forward to seeing many of you there.
