The new government has published a public consultation about its proposed changes to the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). The deadline to respond is 11.45pm on Tuesday, 24th September 2024.
The consultation proposes a number of important changes to national planning rules, for example how local housing need is calculated and on development in the Green Belt. For Buckinghamshire, the consultation proposes a housing need figure of 4,122 homes per year, which is 41.5% higher than the figure derived from the existing government formula for calculating housing need.
