Forest works have begun in Tenterden Spinney off Bois Lane. This is the first phase of our strategic Woodland Management plan for the Parish. We will be replanting trees in the Spinney to replace those we’ve felled. Overall, our plan aims to produce a more diverse and resilient woodland for the future with a better age and species mix. The external audit of the 2018/19 accounts has now been completed by PKF Littlejohn LLP.  You can view all the relevant documents on the Council Finance page of our website or by clicking here.
A copy of the Notice of Completion can be downloaded here.

Come and meet the team who are responsible for our Burial Ground, and who will be on hand with copies of all the Burial records to answer any family history questions. Information will be available about some of the notable people who are buried here, including our four Commonwealth War Graves.

Visit the Chapel, which is usually closed except for funeral services, and take the time to remember a loved one or sit in quiet reflection. Meanwhile our rare chalk grassland meadow hosts a diversity of wildflowers and wildlife – some of them quite rare – and spotters guides will be available for you to track them down.

Come and enjoy the tranquil setting, the fabulous views and find out more – an oasis just a couple of miles from the Metropolitan Line!    Refreshments will be available.  Part of the National Heritage Open Days Festival.    https://www.heritageopendays.org.uk/visiting/event/chesham-bois-burial-ground-open-day
